ABOUT CONSULTING INPLACE
Our history
Consulting Inplace is a national consultancy with offices in London, Birmingham and Bradford, and expertise in four broad areas – communities, economies, skills and enterprise. We adopted our present name in 2010, but our origins go back to 1982 and the formation of WM Enterprise, of which we were then a part. Our initial focus was very narrow: researching businesses within the West Midlands region, to support the board’s investment decisions. Since then we have transformed ourselves into something very different. We now work for a huge range of clients across the public, voluntary and private sectors on a diverse and exciting range of consultancy projects.

Consulting Inplace is a business built on values. Clients engage us because we provide consistently good work from a large team of consultants working across a wide range of subjects. We maintain contact with all clients on a weekly, and often daily, basis. Every project is assigned both a project director and a project manager and progress is monitored weekly against the project plan. We have an ISO 9001 quality system that provides objective external verification that we deliver on our promises. We regularly review the work of all our consultants and invest in their development.
Our people
We have a large and highly qualified consulting team. Every consultant focuses both on a geographical region and a specialist practice area, while also working more widely in order to transfer best-practice across our organisation. All consultants have a professional development plan and receive continuous support in the delivery of their work. We also have a Consultancy Support team, providing specialist skills in market research, communications and project administration.
